The Cleanse

Day 1

  • Eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as you want through the day
  • Drink 3 or more cups of Detox tea.
  • Drink a minimum of 70 ounces of water a day.
  • Take 2 probiotics twice a day.
  • Eat 5 organic sulphur free prunes before bed every night.

Days 2 – 8

AM:

  • Drink a full glass of warm lemon water upon rising – use 1-2 tablespoons of concentrated lemon juice.
  • Exercise: start with some sort of aerobic exercise for 10 minutes (walking, yoga, Qigong, etc.).
  • Before your shower do dry skin brushing – use a natural bristle soft brush or lufa sponge.
  • End your shower by using 3 minutes of hot water on the trunk followed by 30 seconds of cold water (as cold as you can stand).
  • Take one probiotic.
  • Drink 1-2 cups of Detox tea
  • Around 10am make a Detox smoothie with juice of your choice, add 1-2 tablespoons of protein powder and 1-2 tablespoons fiber. Dilute the mix up to 8oz.
  • Take 3 “6-A-Day” multivitamins.
  • Take one more probiotic.

Lunch:

  • If time permits, take a brisk 20 minute walk.
  • Take time to sit and relax while you eat 2 – 3 cups of Detox soup – see recipe on next page.
  • Drink one cup of Detox tea after lunch and another mid afternoon.

PM:

  • When you get home, take time to relax and prepare another Detox smoothie following the same instructions as before.
  • Take 3 more “6-A-Day” multivitamins.
  • Take one more probiotic.
  • Drink one more cup of Detox tea while relaxing before bed.
  • If time allows take a hot Epsom salt bath. Add 1 cup of Epsom Salt to a full bath. Soak for ½ hour. Rinse with a cold shower.
  • Consume 5 organic prunes.
  • Put on your castor oil pack, get into bed with a hot water bottle and prepare for sleep.

If you get hungry during the day, have another smoothie, or another cup of soup. You could also steam one of the vegetables in the soup. The goal is to reduce the load of digestion on the liver, not starve you.

Day 9

  • Continue the Detox Smoothie and supplements as you have been in days 2 – 8.
  • This is the last day for the soup.
  • Add an organic apple or pear in the morning.
  • Add an organic vegetarian salad in the evening.
  • You will be amazed at how good the food tastes.

Day 10

  • This is the last day of the probiotics
  • Continue Detox smoothies.
  • Today we introduce organic whole grains such as brown rice, quinoa, buckwheat grouts.
  • Eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want.

Day 11 – 14

  • Slowly reintroduce foods that are easy for you to digest.
  • If you have done the food sensitivity test, stay away from your known sensitivities.
  • By day 15, you will have reintroduced all foods.
  • Review your symptoms and be aware if anything changes as you reintroduce the various types of food.

Congratulations! Your body thanks you!
